Why do I need this medicine?
Neomycin, Polymyxin B and Gramicidin are combined together in this medicine.

Neomycin + Polymyxin B + Gramicidin is used to treat bacterial infections of the eye.
How do I use this medicine?
Instill Neomycin + Polymyxin B + Gramicidin eye drop exactly as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the label. Do not use more or less than instructed by your doctor.

How to use the eye drop solution:
  1. Before applying this medicine, wash and dry your hands.
  2. Tilt your head slightly backwards and look up.
  3. With the index finger, pull the lower eyelid away from the infected eye to form a pouch.
  4. Instill the required number of drops to the inside of your lower eyelid.
  5. Close your eyes for 30 seconds.
  6. Wipe any excess liquid from your face with a clean tissue.
  7. Wash your hands after each application.
Do not allow the tip of the dropper of this medicine to touch your eyes, eyelids or any other surface. Recap the eye drop immediately after use. If the eye drop becomes contaminated, it could cause an infection in your eyes.

Do not share your eye drop with anyone else.

Neomycin + Polymyxin B + Gramicidin must be used regularly and within the given medication timeframe for it to be effective. Do not stop using it unless instructed by the doctor.
What should I do if I have forgotten to use this medicine?
Instill the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and return to your normal dosing schedule.

Do not use more than what is instructed by the doctor to make up for the missed dose.

If you often forget to apply your medicine, let your doctor and pharmacist know.
When should I not use this medicine?
Do not use this medicine if you ever had an allergic reaction (rashes, breathlessness, swollen mouth or eyes) to Neomycin + Polymyxin B + Gramicidin or any similar medicines.
What should I take note of while using this medicine?
Let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Be sure to check with your doctor or pharmacist before giving this medicine to a child.

Do not wear soft contact lenses while using Neomycin + Polymyxin B + Gramicidin.
What side effects could I experience?
Neomycin + Polymyxin B + Gramicidin may cause visual disturbances. If affected, do not drive or take part in any activity in which you need to see clearly.

Other side effects may include any of the following: itching, swelling, reddening, irritation and stinging or burning sensation of the eyes.

Some side effects may need immediate medical help. Inform your doctor quickly if you experience any of the following:
  • rashes, breathlessness, swollen mouth or eyes
  • vision changes (e.g. decreased clarity of vision), eye discharge, severe eye irritation, eye pain
Inform your doctor if any of these side effects do not go away or are severe, or if you experience other side effects.
Can I use this with other medicines?
Always notify your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, including herbal tonics such as traditional Chinese medicines, supplements and medicines that you buy without a prescription.
How should I store this medicine?
Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children.

Throw away any remaining eye drops 4 weeks after opening. Mark the date of opening on the eye drop bottle so that you know when the bottle was opened.

Medicines must not be used past the expiry date.
